Albion Fellows Bacon Center
Provides safe shelter and crisis intervention services to female victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and their minor children. Services include crisis phone line, counseling, legal advocacy, child advocacy, information and referral, self-help group facilitation, emergency assistance, and educational programs.
American Red Cross
Provides immediate response to victims of major and minor disasters with food, clothing, shelter, health services and blood. Conducts community service programs, holds blood drives, as well as emergency communications between members of the Armed Forces and their families.
Buffalo Trace Council- Boy Scouts of America
Promotes the positive development of young people through character education, citizenship training and personal fitness education. These traits are taught by encouraging positive interaction between youths through hands-on activities at weekly meetings.
Catholic Charities
Social Service agency offering direct service programs and referral services in cooperation with other community resources. Services include family therapy, comprehensive emergency assistance and foster family care. Services are offered without regard to religious affiliation.
Gibson County CASA
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children is a network of 951 community-based programs that recruit, train, and support citizen-volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in courtrooms and communities. Volunteer advocates – empowered directly by the courts – offer judges the crucial information they need to ensure that each child’s rights and needs are being attended to while in foster care.
Gibson County Council on Aging
Full schedule of activities, including bingo, bible study, painting class, exercise, and dancing. Transportation on donation basis as long as over 60 years old. Also medicaid provider for transportation.
Gibson County Youth Center
Provide boys and girls alternatives for after-school activities in a safe supervised environment. We will strive to develop programs and activities which will offer positive development and personal growth, enabling youth to acquire skills needed to grow into productive civic-minded responsible adults.
